Here's the latest video:
Triumph Adventure website
Rumor is it will be aimed squarely at taking some share away from the market of BMW's F800 GS.
All I can say is - I hope it's awesome! A really great 800cc triple might be a bike I'd be interested in. It'll take something pretty special to get me off my VFR800 though.

Follow along via the website they're gradually releasing information to. The link is HERE.

2010 Triumph Rocket III more power |||amp; revised ergo's
The bike is no lightweight at 367kg/807lbs (wet) but when you consider it's got a 2294cc line, liquid-cooled triple the weight isn't surprising. It makes its max power at 5,750rpm and max torque at just 2,750rpm.Color choices won't be abundant. You can get black or black; matte or gloss black.
The big news is that the new 2010 model gets new mid-mount foot controls. They're said to make the bike mroe comfortable for non-cruiser riders. They're further back and more inboard. Triumph calls "A completely different riding experience from its predecessor."
Suspension is by way of 43mm upside down Kayaba forks with 120mm of travel in the front and Kayaba twin shocks with 105mm of travel in the rear. Brakes are upgraded with ABS, 320mm front discs with Nissin 4-pots (front) and a 316mm disc with a 2-pot Brembo (rear) to try to pull this beast down from speed!

Transport Canada - latest motorcycle recalls
Here's all the details -
Make, Model, Year Affected: Triumph, ROCKET III CLASSIC TOURING, 2008 2009
Transport Canada Recall # 2009107
Recall Date: 2009/04/14
Units affected: 47
Details:On certain motorcycles, the tires may experience a torque-induced degradation in a body ply. The degradation may result in inner-liner cracking that may lead to a slow leak in the rear tire. Loss of air pressure could cause the rider to lose vehicle control, which may result in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace both tires.
-----
Make, Model Year Affected: Buell 1125R 2008, Buell XB12R 2009, Buell XB12SCG 2009
Transport Canada Recall # 2009111
Recall Date: 2009/04/15
Units affected: 271
Details:On certain motorcycles, the front brake line may contact the front tire. The resultant chafe damage could create a hole in the line. Brake fluid leakage could ultimately result in loss of front braking capability which, depending on traffic conditions and the rider's reactions, could result in a crash causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will re-route the front brake line.
-----
Make, Model, Year Affected: BMW, F800GS, 2009
Transport Canada Recall # 2009112
Recall Date: 2009/04/16
Units affected: 105
Details:On certain motorcycles, the front wheel quick-release axle may not have been manufactured to specifications. The quick-release axle might be of reduced wall thickness which, under severe loads (off-roading, for example), could cause the axle to break. This could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the quick-release axle.
2010 Triumph Daytona rumors
We're not one to quote Paris Hilton, but this thing is hot! That passenger seat doesn't look very comfortable, but hey, you won't be riding on the back now will you?
Clearly if Triumph were thinking of producing such a bike they'd have to make some changes. Namely, those impossibly small headlights. Performance/luxury automotive companies such as Porsche and Audi are using similar styled lights but (correct me if I'm wrong - or comment below) they're just used as daytime running lights and/or turn signals on those models. Still, even if they did have to update the lights it'd still look great.
*If you know the official source of the photos let us know. They do have a watermark but we can't read it. Plus, they may have been added later.
Triumph gets EFI for 2009
Even though the bikes will have EFI, it's cleverly hidden so that it retains the classic look of the carbaurated models.
According to Triumph:
"All new 2009 parallel twin engine platforms will include electronic fuel injection (EFI). This new technology affects all the Modern Classics: Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Scrambler, and Thruxton. The America and Speedmaster, in the Cruiser range, already received this upgrade in 2008. Triumph has been able to preserve the classic look of the engine while the technologically advanced internal engine design has been modified to accommodate the EFI update. The fuel injectors have been skillfully hidden by throttle bodies designed to look like carburetors. The fuel injected engine produces a perfect balance of efficiency and performance while maintaining its exceptional fuel economy. The 2009 parallel twin engine maintains its classic look with polished fins and remains true to its heritage.
The changeover from carburetors to electronic fuel injection is in direct response to the European emissions legislation."
2009 Triumph Speed Triple R
Here's the news straight from the Canadian section of Triumph's website:
*****
Triumph launched the new Street Triple R today at a press launch on the Isle of Man. This new model is based on the successful Street Triple, is powered by the world renowned Daytona 675 and takes its styling queues from the original hooligan bike, the Speed Triple. The Street Triple R has been designed to rival traditional supersport machines with its superb handling and exceptional stopping power, while offering the comfort and attitude of a streetfighter. The Street Triple R comes fully equipped with race track technology and can be finely tuned for all road and track conditions. At its heart is the highly-acclaimed fuel-injected 675cc three-cylinder engine, producing 107 bhp at 11,700rpm.
The bike gleans a fully adjustable sports suspension and powerful four-piston radial brakes from the award-winning Daytona 675. The fully-adjustable 41mm upside down forks and an adjustable rear monoshock unit deliver confident handling, while the radially-mounted four piston calipers grabbing twin 308mm brake discs make for quick stopping.
The sporty feel of this motorcycle is completed with wide, tapered aluminum handlebars from Magura. A 5mm taller seat height puts the Street Triple R rider in the perfect position to attack the twisties or carve its way through the urban jungle.
The Street Triple R’s distinctive look includes two all-new exclusive color schemes: Matte Graphite with orange graphics and Matte Blazing Orange with grey graphics. Both color options are further enhanced by black anodized forks and a two-tone black and graphite seat.
Key features at a glance:
- Fully adjustable suspension front and rear
- Powerful four-piston Nissin radial calipers and radial master cylinder front brakes
- Smooth and torquey 107 bhp 675cc three cylinder engine
- Magura tapered aluminum handlebars for genuine streetfighter look

2010 Triumph Thunderbird
This could certanily appeal to those looking for something a little different. The styling looks classic cruiser but that engine layout says "All New."
New BMW, Triumph models and other gossip
These Internet rumors have not been researched or substantiated (for the most part) but they are some tantilizing rumors so we thought we'd help them along.
- BMW may revive the C1 covered scooter or if that is too wild they'll look to build another type of scooter to get in on the bustling demand for these highly fuel efficient vehicles. Those engineers are going to have their work cut out for them making this thing look cool. It is an interesting concept though; one that would certainly be appealing to some.
- Some BMW dealers are hinting at a 675cc Triple that will be available in 2010. Say what!? Yes - you read correctly... A BMW Triple. That's three cylinders - just like the Triumph 675. That would be quite surprising development if true. Rumor has it that one US dealership is already taking deposits and reports of hp numbers around 130 are floating around too.
- Michael Schumacher has teamed up with helmet maker Schuberth to produce a race track ready and specific helmet. Now if we could only get the Schuberth helmets in Canada this might be a good seller. This rumor seems to have some truth to it. We were able to find some pictures and information on it. Nice looking helmet! Here's a link.
- Triumph is said to be working on a 675 cc version of the 1050 cc Tiger, to be called the 'Tiger Cub'. A new frame (or at least a modified version of one) will be necessary to allow for longer travel suspension at the rear and an increase in ground clearance, and some longer forks. However, a minor engine retune is all that will be required making this seem like a real possibility.
