The Schuberth visor so clear, nothing is distorted and there are no ‘bad spots’ at the edges of my peripheral vision. The ventilation is great even in the California high desert, and the micro-lock clasp is quick and easy even with gloves on, which is important to a guy who rides 15 sessions a day on the track.  Overall the Schuberth S2 is a big win!” - Chris McVay, Keith Code California Superbike School Coach

This DOT and European ECE compliant helmet features an integrated sun visor, a full-circumference rim spoiler, and a molded back spoiler. In the initial 24 to 36-month expansion phase, there are plans for a model upgrade of the existing product portfolio, particularly for motorcycle helmets, while entering new motorcycle segments with totally new products at the same time. In addition, the range of colours and graphics is to be broadened in line with varied customer demands in the different international marketplaces. Investments in innovative development processes and modern manufacturing techniques are intended to further optimise the premium quality as well as the overall volume of Schuberth’s premium products. Initially, the focus will be on developing the markets in Europe and in North America. New distribution channels are also being established in Asia.

Aliso Viejo, Calif. - March 14, 2014 - Schuberth is proud to announce the arrival of new graphics and colorways for their premium racing helmet, the SR1. The SR1 Stealth will be offered in red, orange or blue color options and is now available through Schuberth dealers.

“Our customers have been asking for helmets that match their race bikes and leathers,” reports Randy Northrup, Vice President of Schuberth North America. “We are pleased to offer these exciting new options which complement a wide array of motorcycle brands.”

Though the Stealth is a primarily matte black, 360° of reflectivity and accents not only meet the rider’s color preference but more importantly enhance rider visibility and safety. This new finish is of course combined with the development and safety-oriented engineering that makes the SR1 Schuberth’s masterpiece helmet.

Borrowing technology from their SF1 Formula 1 helmets, Schuberth built the SR1 to bring the precision of F1 to motorcycle racing. Engineered specifically for sport riders and professional racers, the SR1 is highly lauded by the international motorcycle press.

Land speed racer Andy Sills recently set a new 236mph record while wearing an SR1, saying “the design, materials and construction of the SR1 have no equal. The aerodynamic attributes are near perfection. The physical fit on the rider’s head is indeed perfection...the SR1 holds your head truly still with no slippage or movement regardless of your position in the air stream.”

Schuberth SR1 Pricing

The C3 PRO features a molded rear spoiler developed in the Schuberth wind tunnel for minimizing buffeting at higher speed riding. The internal antenna and Bluetooth® receiver enhance the communication range up to 700 meters and FM radio reception for the Schuberth Rider Communication System. The refined inner lining offers a plush, comfortable fit. The new vent scoop boosts airflow through the helmet to over 8 liters of air per second at 100 km/h. With a wind tunnel tested sound rating of just 82 dB(A), the C3 PRO is the quietest Schuberth helmet ever. The C3 PRO (and female fit C3 PRO WOMEN) flip-up helmet features over 20 additional enhancements and will be available this spring.

The easy-to-install, fully integrated Schuberth Rider Communication System (SRCS C3 PRO) plugs into the C3 PRO's internal antenna for improved FM radio reception and pairing distance of up to 700 meters.

(Note: The SRCS C3 will fit into the C3 PRO and will function normally, but since it does not plug into the helmet's antenna, it will not offer the improved reception that can be expected from the new SRCS C3 PRO. The SRCS C3 PRO does not offer backward compatibility to the C3. While it will physically fit, there is no internal antenna, so Bluetooth connectivity and radio reception are not possible.)

chuberth North America Introduces Elite Motorcycle Sport Helmet: The SR1

Schuberth announces the newest addition to their line of aerodynamic, areoacoustic motorcycle helmets, the SR1. Engineered specifically for sport riders and professional racers, the SR1 has won numerous awards in the international motorcycle press and is currently worn in the AMA Superbike series by Stefan Nebel.

"The SR1 is considered to be Schuberth's 'Masterpiece' helmet and we are extremely proud to introduce it to riders and racers in the U.S. and Canada," says Randy Northrup, Schuberth North America's Vice President.

Maximum safety and comfort, combined with continuous innovation, have been the hallmarks of Schuberth helmets for decades. The new SR1 is a Schuberth product through and through. Constructed using Schuberth's proprietary methods, the shell is made with the extremely light S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber, a special fiberglass-reinforced duroplastic matrix. The smallest of the three shell sizes weighs in at about 1,350 grams. Schuberth's patented Anti-Roll-Off System offers additional protection to the infinitely adjustable D-Ring closure. The removable, washable Coolmax® liner has a hypoallergenic, antibacterial, odor-reducing treatment providing all-temperature comfort.

After countless tests in Schuberth's own acoustic wind tunnel, the SR1 boasts superb aerodynamics with optimum downforce and very low lift. The compact profile ensures the helmet sits precisely, even at high speed - eliminating buffeting and oscillation while providing directional stability. The D-Force Spoiler features 2 settings allowing the rider to further adjust the helmet to different seating positions for airflow and downforce control.

The wind tunnel optimized Multi-Volume-Ventilation ensures maximum cooling. Three adjustable air intakes in the front - two at the forehead and one at the chin - and two outlets in the back of the helmet allow optimum ventilation flowing over 10 liters of fresh air per second at 100 km/h. The chin vent has three settings that control airflow allowing the rider to choose no air, full facial airflow, or air to the cheeks only.

The SR1 comes with an anti-scratch clear face shield with anti-fog coating. A breath deflector mounted at the chin further helps prevent fogging. The new "Push-Release-System" enables users to quickly and easily remove the face shield at the touch of a button, with no tools. Pinlock® anti-fog lenses and tinted face shields in light smoke, dark smoke and silver mirror finishes are also available.

The aeroacoustics have also been optimized in the Schuberth wind tunnel. At 100 km/h, only 88 dB(A) reaches the rider's ear. The innovative Noise-Reduction-System (N.R.S.) allows the rider to open or close small openings to control the helmet's acoustics. In racing mode, the N.R.S. can be opened to enable the wearer to perceive background sounds and approaching riders more accurately on the track. In street mode, the N.R.S. can be closed to reduce noise levels without eliminating important traffic sounds.

The SR1 is certified with both ECE and DOT safety standards. The highly respected European ECE standard for motorcycle helmets is recognized in over 50 countries worldwide as well as for AMA and FIM racing including MotoGP. The North American DOT government safety standard is required for motorcycle helmets worn on public roads.

Formula 1 in its Genes

Among those involved in developing the SR1 was Michael Schumacher, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, who has been relying exclusively on Schuberth helmets since 2000 both in his Formula 1 career and in his motorcycle racing endeavors.

The story of the SR1's genesis goes back to the year 2000. Schuberth and its engineers entered the Formula 1 realm with a clear vision and an ambitious goal: "We'll build the world's best helmets for the world's best drivers." Schuberth soon partnered with none other than Michael Schumacher to wear its RF1 carbon helmet, and within a year Schumacher and Schuberth were celebrating their first world championship title together. Schumacher continues to wear Schuberth helmets and to provide Schuberth's engineers with continuous expert feedback, enabling them to constantly improve the company's helmets.

In 2006, after winning seven world championships, Schumacher announced his retirement from Formula 1. Shortly afterward, he began his "second career" racing an IDM Superbike. Schuberth immediately started developing its first motorcycle racing helmet, based on the RF1 carbon helmet from Formula 1. A few months later, the company unveiled the "Schuberth Race", a lightweight carbon helmet weighing just 900 grams (1.9 lbs) specially developed for Schumacher. Only five of these helmets have been produced to date. The Schuberth Race not only got the thumbs-up from Schumacher but also generated wider interest and demand in motorcycle racing scene.

Now, with the new SR1, Schuberth is putting the successor to the "Schuberth Race" into series production for sport riders and professional racers. After his first test rides with the SR1, Michael Schumacher remained firmly convinced, stating, "As a professional Formula 1 driver and a motorcycle racer with ambitions, I trust Schuberth and no-one else when it comes to safety and comfort - as I have for the past 10 years."

BMW Motorrad USA recommends the Schuberth C3

BMW Motorrad USA recommends the Schuberth C3 as the helmet of choice for riders of the BMW K 1600 GT/L equipped with the BMW Audio System with Bluetooth connectivity.
BMW Riders certainly understand the connection to Schuberth and their innovative, German-engineered products. Now there is even more reason for BMW riders to couple that with the German helmet; the Schuberth C3 and C3W are the only helmets recommended by BMW Motorrad USA for use with the BMW Audio System with Bluetooth for the K 1600 GT/L and R 1200 RT.
The BMW Motorrad Communication System is comprised of a small controller with 3 buttons that attaches to the outside of the helmet. A microphone, battery pack, speakers and electronic controller (installed inside the helmet between the protective EPS liner and the helmet shell) complete the system.
The Schuberth C3 (and C3W for women) is the only helmet in which the BMW Motorrad Communication System can be installed without modification of the EPS liner or the shell. An independent testing facility has verified that the installed BMW Motorrad Communication System does not affect DOT compliance of C3 and C3W helmets.
The BMW Motorrad Communication System is proprietary to BMW products, so it is important for K1600GT/L and R1200RT owners to use this system for full functionality. Other Bluetooth communicators (like Schuberth's own SRC-System) will connect with the BMW Navigator and other components, but not interact fully with the on-board system. Customers should have the BMW Motorrad Communication System installed in the C3 or C3W by an authorized BMW dealer.
