Cardo Systems releases its highly-anticipated first software upgrade to the scala rider G4

Cardo Systems, Inc., the world’s market leader in Bluetooth communications for motorcycle helmets, today announced the launch of its ‘Cardo Upgrades’ application along with its latest software version for the scala rider G4 and the scala rider G4 PowerSet.

Since its introduction earlier this year, the scala rider G4 has been widely recognized as the most feature-rich Bluetooth motorcycle intercom headset on the market today. One of its unique features includes the availability for users to periodically upgrade features and functions on their device by simply downloading the latest software from the company’s website to their Windows based PCs*. The latest version 2.2 includes among others:

- Pre-setting radio stations
- RDS and VOX control –disable / enable functions
- Status Announcement language settings

Registered end-users of the scala rider G4 can now download the latest software for free at www.cardoupgrades.com.

About the scala rider G4

The scala rider G4 is the first Bluetooth® motorcycle headset to offer 3-way conference-mode intercom among up to three riders on three separate bikes or 4-way mode among two riders and their two passengers on two bikes, at distances of up to one mile** - a new industry benchmark.

Encased in a streamlined waterproof and dustproof shell, the scala rider G4 also excels by way of its user-friendly interface. Additional features include:

- Multiple Connectivity Options
- A2DP Bluetooth Stereo Music
-  Built-In FM Radio with RDS
-  VOX Activation
-  Software Upgrades
-  Spoken Status Announcements
-  AGC Technology for auto-volume adjustment
-  PLC Technology for enhanced audio in challenging environments

The scala rider G4 can connect with up to two other scala rider G4 headsets and one Bluetooth-enabled device such as a mobile phone or GPS device at one time. It also includes a built-in FM radio and an optional jack to connect an MP3 player via cable. Like the entire line of scala rider models, the G4 offers voice control for key functions, safely enabling bikers to keep their hands on the handlebars. The G4’s noise canceling microphone and PLC software technology provide superb audio quality both at higher cruising speeds and in challenging urban environments. Talk time with the unit’s rechargeable Li-Po battery is up to 10 hours and standby time is up to 1 week. The G4 is also compatible with the intercom line of scala rider models.***

The scala rider G4 fits virtually all ¾ and full-face helmets and can be self-installed in five minutes. It is available through selected distributors, specialty motorcycle shops, and directly from the Cardo Systems website at www.cardosystems.com with a suggested retail price of $279.95 for a single scala rider G4 unit or $489.95 USD for two factory-paired units in the scala rider G4 PowerSet retail box.

- The G4 is a higher end system but we did a Q2 Multiset review that you may be interested in too.
