"Motorcycle Experience" Celebrates 25 Years On The Air!

WhistleStop Productions is throwing a party at the end of the month and motorcycle fans are invited to come out and join in the celebration. The Prince Edward County based television production company has been producing TSN’s Motorcycle Experience for 25 years and will mark this incredible milestone on Saturday, September 27 at the Hillier Creek Estates winery. “Twenty-five years is a long time to be on the air. There aren’t a lot of Canadian TV shows that can say they’ve been around since 1989”, says show host Dave Hatch.

The long running TV show, which is shot primarily in Prince Edward County, plans to play host at the Hillier Creek Estates winery from 9am to 4pm and Honda Canada will be on hand providing the party favors. A TSN camera crew will also be on site throughout the day providing coverage to be broadcast early next spring on Motorcycle Experience.

While the winery won’t be offering wine tastings during the celebration to keep riders safe, there will still be plenty of events going on throughout the day. The winery will be holding vineyard tours and serving their famous wood fired pizzas while Motorcycle Experience and Honda Canada will be hosting motorcycle demo rides while a meet and greet seminar, exclusive motorcycle displays, hourly door prize giveaways including a special edition 40th escorted County Back Roads Ride will round out the day.

“Honda Canada has really stepped up to make it a real Wing Ding”, said Hatch. “This fall also marks the 40th thought, why not combine the 2 special occasions?” The event, Wings Over The County is a tip of the hat to both the Honda Goldwing and our neighbors over at the 8 Wing Air Base in Trenton. Honda Canada will bring out their full up demo ride program to the winery so fans of the company’s new motorcycle line up can sample the very latest products Honda has on offer. “I’m not quite sure where we’ll park all the motorcycles” said winery owner Kemp Stewart, “but we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen our winery as a site for this special celebration.” Stewart, a retired military officer, is an avid motorcycle fan and currently rides a Triumph Bonneville, but says several years ago he also owned a Goldwing. “I still love the Goldwing,” said Stewart “because they set the standard for touring machines and they’ve always been a great way to travel and see the country.”

According to Hatch, “If you had told me back in 1989 when we first went on the air on TSN that we’d be doing this for 25 years, I’m not sure I would have believed it! It’s been an incredible ride and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone out at our event and supporting our TV show for all of these years.”
