Zero Motorcycles to serve as official ring sponsor 2011 Motorcycle Hall of Fame induction ceremony

Zero Motorcycles announced it will be the official ring sponsor of the 2011 Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The ceremony takes place on Friday, Nov.18th during the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Legends & Champions Weekend at the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa in Las Vegas. Induction into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame is the highest award given to a member of the motorcycling community. Zero Motorcycles has taken an active roll over the past year in supporting the greater motorcycle industry at key events and its association with such a prestigious and historical gala, like the 2011 Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, is truly an honor for the company.

“The Motorcycle Hall of Fame has done a tremendous job elevating the stature and magnitude of the induction ceremony over the past few years. The event in Las Vegas is a first class affair. Any motorcyclist would be proud to attend and judging by the growing turnout each year many are. Zero is honored to have the opportunity to show its support for the Hall of Fame and the legends of the sport who so rightfully will be honored,” said Scot Harden, Vice President of Global Marketing, Zero Motorcycles.

This will be only the second year that inductees have been honored with a ring ceremony and as the official sponsor of the ring ceremony, Zero Motorcycles has made it possible for the Hall of Fame to present exceptional rings to the Class of 2011. The prestigious Motorcycle Hall of Fame ring is a symbol of the significant contributions made by an inductee to the sport, business and lifestyle of motorcycling. The gold ring, which was created exclusively for the Hall of Fame, bears the institution’s logo featuring the "Glory Days" design and the name of the inductee.

"It's wonderful to see that a company so focused on the future of motorcycling has chosen to honor the individuals who are responsible for our past by supporting the Motorcycle Hall of Fame," said Jeff Heininger, chairman of the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which raises money for the Hall of Fame. "As the sponsor of the Hall of Fame rings for this year's inductees, Zero will be an integral part of an event that has become a must-do on everyone’s motorcycling calendar."

The gala ceremony, which takes place Friday evening, Nov. 18, at the Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa, is the first of three events occurring during the AMA Legends & Champions Weekend. Saturday, Nov. 19, features the Dave Mungenast Memorial Motorcycle Hall of Fame Concours d'Elegance bike show, and the end-of-year AMA Racing Championship Banquet rounds out the celebration on Nov. 20.

About the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation
Founded in 1990 by the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, the goal of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame is to tell the stories and preserve the history of motorcycling. Located on the campus of the American Motorcyclist Association in Pickerington, Ohio, the Hall of Fame's three major exhibition halls feature the machines and memorabilia of those who have contributed notably to the sport. The Motorcycle Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to motorcycling, including those known for their contributions to road riding, off-road riding and all categories of racing, as well as those who have excelled in business, history, design and engineering.
