Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada Continues to Support the Troops

Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada is proud to renew its efforts to support Canadian troops by extending several support programs. Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada continues to offer a $500 Canadian Parts & Accessories/GM credit to any regular or reserve forces members with the purchase of a new, previously untitled motorcycle, and gives members of the armed forces who ride an opportunity to ride longer under warranty when they return home (number of days they were deployed added to the balance of the remaining warranty period).,

Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada is pleased to maintain the Test Our Metal Program on military bases across Canada, allowing troops to enjoy test rides on the newest models of Harley-Davidson motorcycles on specific dates, which are outlined on www.harley-canada.com.

Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada is pleased and proud to introduce a new collection of MotorClothes® apparel in Canada that highlights the historic relationship between Harley-Davidson® and serving military personnel.

Featuring men’s military-inspired graphics on key silhouettes, the Military Collection consists of a total of 15 styles across sportswear, casual outerwear and accessories apparel. This line features nostalgic graphics and styling reminiscent of H-D support during the WWII era. Several of the graphics are taken directly from the Harley-Davidson archives.

“CANEX acknowledges, with gratitude, the altruism of H.O.G. members and Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada. The support Deeley Harley-Davidson [Canada] has extended to the Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services [CFPFSS] through participation in such programs as Operation Santa Claus is a demonstration of their commitment to Canadian Forces Personnel serving abroad. [Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada]’s many initiatives, such as H-D Canadian Forces Test Our Metal Events, speak volumes to Deeley EXCLUSIVE HARLEY-DAVIDSON BUELL DISTRIBUTOR
Harley-Davidson Canada’s recognition and support of the Canadian Forces community”, says Ken Stilwell, CANEX Manager of Corporate Programs.

This limited Military Collection offering will be available as of October 2010 and will be complemented by the “Gift with Purchase Program” running from November 1 to December 24 in participating authorized Harley-Davidson Retail Stores across Canada. This program rewards every qualifying $300 purchase with a free Military Archive Collection: framed images valued at $75, featuring one-of-a-kind images straight from the Harley-Davidson Museum archives. These images are framed in a custom shadow box to showcase the features and uses of the 1942 WLA motorcycle during WWII.

The Military Collection is created with the WLA motorcycles of the 1940s in mind. These motorcycles were specifically produced for military use by the U.S. and its allies during WWII. During the war, Harley-Davidson Motor Company produced approximately 90,000 WL military models, in various configurations, for use on virtually every front. The olive drab painted WLA, which came to be known as “The Liberator”, featured special wartime equipment such as an ammunitions box, a machine-gun scabbard, and front and rear blackout lights to help soldiers avoid detection. It played an important role in WWII for military police, couriers, scouts, and communication specialists who learned to ride in unpredictable conditions, over difficult terrain. This limited-edition collection honours some of those key moments in the history of Canada, as well as that of Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
